Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Bountify, Inc. ("we", "us") for jobmaxxing. Using the hosted app or the Chrome extension means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. Our privacy notice sits beside this one and is part of the same agreement: jobmaxxing.ai/privacy.html.
1. What the service is
jobmaxxing is a hosted job-search workspace: a board of the companies, roles and programmes you are pursuing, research and prep written by AI against your own context, and a Chrome extension that saves job pages into it. Your account runs as its own process with its own disk.
2. Plans and price
One plan, two ways to pay. This is beta pricing and it may change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for (section 10).
- $9.99 a week — and your first week is $0.99. That introductory price applies once, to the first week of a first weekly subscription; every week after it is $9.99.
- $199 a year — the same plan billed yearly, which works out at $3.83 a week. There is no introductory price on the yearly option.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live.
A subscription buys the AI features. Everything except AI features keeps working without a subscription — your board, your companies, roles and programmes, importing, tracking, and the Chrome extension. Without an active subscription the AI features refuse visibly and say why, and nothing else changes.
There is no free tier and no money-back guarantee. Cancelling is as easy as signing up: you cancel from your own account, in no more steps than it took to subscribe, without writing to us or asking anyone's permission. Cancelling stops the next charge and does not refund the period you are in; the AI features stay on until that period ends.
Payment processor: [PROCESSOR — to be chosen]. Who takes the payment, and whether that party is the merchant of record for VAT purposes, is not settled yet. This section will name them before anyone is charged.
3. The AI budget on your account
Every AI feature costs us money to run, so each account carries a monthly budget. Our contract states the numbers, and we quote them here:
"per-tenant alarm $10/month, hard-stop $25/month, configurable per tier"
When the hard stop is reached, AI features refuse visibly — you get a plain message ("monthly AI budget reached — resets on the 1st"), not a quietly worse answer from a cheaper model and not a queue that spends the money later. Everything that is not an AI feature keeps working. The budget resets on the 1st of each month.
4. How you may use it
You agree that you will not:
- Use the service to log in anywhere or to submit an application for you. It does not do this and it never will: our own contract's words are "no login automation, no auto-submit, ever". Filling a form with text you wrote is transport of your words; pressing submit is your hand. Do not try to automate around that.
- Pull third-party material into the service beyond your own job search. The extension is for pages you are actually looking at as a candidate. Bulk scraping of job boards, company directories, or anyone's personal data through the service is not allowed.
- Upload other people's personal data. Hosted accounts do not store third-party contact records, and the routes that would write them are refused.
- Break the law, infringe someone's rights, or breach a website's own terms while using the service.
- Resell the service, share your account, or try to reach another account's data or our infrastructure.
- Rely on it as legal, immigration, financial or employment advice.
5. Your content
Your corpus is yours. Your resume, your stories, your profile, your notes, your applications — you own them and you keep owning them. You give us the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your files, to process them, to send the relevant slice to the model that answers your request, and to show it all back to you. Nothing more.
We never write for you. Automation does not create or edit your resumes, your stories or your profile. The app writes those files only when you click to save them. AI suggests; you are the only hand that saves.
Allow paid licensing of my activity is a separate, opt-in consent. It covers uploading detailed activity to Bountify for preparation and paid licensing to AI research labs. It is not part of your subscription, it changes nothing about your bill, refusing it changes nothing about your product, and you can withdraw it any day. It is described in the privacy notice, and it cannot happen at all until the redaction layer over that data exists.
6. What the AI produces
Drafts, briefs, scores and suggestions are starting points for you to read, check and edit. They can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken about a company or a role, and you are responsible for anything you send to an employer. We do not promise interviews, offers, or any outcome from your job search. Nothing here is legal, immigration, financial or employment advice.
We do not guarantee the service is uninterrupted or error-free. It is provided as it is, without warranties, to the extent the law allows.
7. Ending it, and your data
- You can cancel any time. Cancelling stops future charges.
- Ask us to delete your account and we run the delete across every store we hold for you, plus an export first if you want one. The privacy notice describes exactly what that reaches and the one store it deliberately does not.
- Records we keep after that are the ones with their own windows in the privacy notice — chiefly billing and usage records — and everything else goes.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, is not paid, or is being used in a way that puts other accounts or our providers at risk. We will tell you why, and give you a chance to export unless the law stops us.
- We may discontinue the service, with notice and a window to export.
- Undo is not built. Version history over your files is the next thing we ship. Until it lands, an edit is the edit.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, lost jobs, or lost profits. Our total liability to you for any claim is capped at [LIABILITY CAP — to be set]. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION — to be set], and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.
10. Changes
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes with them, and we will tell account holders before a material change takes effect. A price change never applies to a month you have already paid for.
